We love the Bible
We believe the Bible is the living word of God. It is life-giving, showing us who Jesus is and how life with him makes sense. Each week we open the Bible in small groups and public talks to explore why he matters.
We are RMIT Christian Union, a community of students committed to following Jesus and making him known. Uni can be exciting but also overwhelming, and we believe Jesus brings clarity, hope, and purpose to it all. That’s why we meet together to read the Bible, encourage each another, and share the good news of Jesus with our campus.

Uni life is better when it’s shared together. We connect over meals, socials, and everyday life. We want to build friendships to encourage and support each other in our Christian faith.
We want the good news of Jesus to be heard across our campus. We share Jesus through conversations, and simple invitations; trusting God to use us to bring hope.
Some of us study Engineering. Some of us study Finance. Some of us study Graphic Design. But what unites us is that we are all students seeking to know and love Jesus, fuelled by his word and Spirit, to reach our campus with the good news of God’s grace. And we’d love to meet you!
Meet our people
At the Christian Union, we love RMIT. Whether you’re sceptical, curious, still figuring things out, or already all-in, you’re welcome here. And we believe the best way we can love RMIT is by inviting everyone to explore who Jesus is. He’s the one who gives true freedom and lasting meaning to life.
There have been some ups and downs over the years, but we’ve had a consistent group on the RMIT campus since the mid 1990s. It began with just a few students reading the Bible together. Over time, we’ve grown into a community of friends, learners, and leaders; all helping each other to follow Jesus at uni.
Our history
Our group is part of AFES, a national community of students discovering Jesus together. All AFES groups across Australia stand in the same grace of God, the same gospel of Christ. Being part of this wider community means we’re connected to other campus groups, supported by experienced staff, and able to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
